The FBI’s Bigfoot hair examination
Read the FBI’s replies, internal examination request, and laboratory findings concerning hair submitted as possible Bigfoot evidence.
What this record tells us
The examined hairs were identified as belonging to the deer family. This was a hair examination, not a DNA test or confirmation of Bigfoot.
The initial 1976 reply could not locate the earlier examination mentioned in the Washington Environmental Atlas. The bureau subsequently agreed to examine a submitted sample. See the February 1977 result later in this selection.
